Education: Baccalaureate Degree in a Health Science is Preferred
Experience: Minimum 2 Years Preferred
Position Summary: The Education Consultant provides knowledge of Omega Alpha products and their ingredients (botanical, vitamin and mineral) to consumers and health professionals through lectures at various public venues. This position requires excellent oral and written communication skills, an ability to summarize a broad amount of information into key points, general knowledge of natural health products and ingredients, and fluency in spoken and written English.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Prepares content for demonstrations of Omega Alpha products and their ingredients and effectively communicates product features. • Tailors on-site or public demonstrations to meet customer requirements as needed. • Responds to inquiries from retail managers about participation in staff training and sets demonstration appointments.
This position would perfectly suit a current or recent student of nutrition or naturopathy or herbal sciences. Graduates and self-employed consultants are also encouraged to apply.
Desired Professional experience: Hands-on experience as an education consultant in the health food business is preferred. • Similar lecturing or sales experience in related fields will also be considered.
Working Conditions: Travel to and from lecture appointments is required. Business casual attire. Work environment is normally on-site at public venues which may include retail customer locations. Most lectures are held on weekdays and Saturdays and may include evenings.
Working Hours: 15 to 25 hours per week.
