Rheuma Rub is effective because the herbs used in its formulation possess compounds which are known to:
1) Possess anti-inflammatory properties - This is important because these compounds will help inhibit the migration of white cells into the affected area thereby inhibiting the build-up of toxins. The build-up of toxins locally can lead to swelling, stiffness and pain.
2) Promote local blood circulation - Improved local blood circulation in the affected area is important because this is the mechanism whereby any toxins which have accumulated in the affected area are washed away and diluted in the general circulation. The net result is a reduction of pain as there is less toxins to cause irritation of the local pain nerve endings.
3) Have analgesic properties - These compounds act directly to reduce pain.
